Monthly Makeover
I am very excited to announce a new project that I have been working on!
It has always been a dream of mine to help other girls with their blogs and get them up and running. When I first started blogging, I had no idea how to make a pretty blog! About two years ago I decided I was going to learn. I have found a passion through blog design and coding, something I never thought I would be interested in.
Over the past year, I have been contacted by different girls to help with their blog design, and I was so excited! I've had the privileged to help Meg, Kaitlyn, and Eva design their blogs from basically the bottom up. Currently, I am also working with Carly and Gracie to help them achieve a blog design that makes them giddy! This hobby of mine is so neat and I love every second of it!
In saying that, I want to continue to help girls start or grow their blog. I want girls to be proud of their site and help them start a brand that opens many different doors for them. That is why I am starting this new program called Monthly Makeovers!
What it is.
Monthly Makeovers is basically my way of reaching out to help other girls. Its a program where girls are selected every month to receive help with their blogs! We chat, pin things together and encourage one another through our blogs!
How it works.
At the beginning of every THIRD month (January, April, July, and October) a new application will be open to anyone that wants to start a blog, grow their blog, brand their blog, or get blogging tips. There will be a period of two weeks for when that application is open. (I'll remind everyone- no worries!) At the end of that two week period, the applications will be reviewed. Depending on the response I receive, one or two girls will be selected each month! Those selected will get an email from me- no later than one week after the form closes!!
What happens next.
You have one week to respond to the email I send you. Sadly after that week period, I have to give another girl a chance. If you respond within the week we start right away at the beginning of the month! Sharing ideas, goals, and anything we can think of, we communicate through email!
The Timeline
The goal is to have a completed blog by the second month (March, June, September, and December). However, I'm a person, the girls I work with are real people, and we all have lives outside of blogging! The full timeline should not take any longer than three months! Of course, we can still chat after that! I love to hear how things work and don't. And if there ever is a problem with something on your blog, or you want to change something, we can still email months after everything's finished!
The Next Step
The link to the first application will be available on July 1st! I am so excited to get started on this program and hope for success. Let your friends that blog know about this, spread the news, I am so happy that I am able to help out and can't wait to hear from all of you!
Any questions? Please email me at wittyyoungthing@gmail.com! I'd be happy to let you know!

Europe Travels || Travel Day
Hello!
You may have noticed that I have been rather quite the last few weeks. Well I have an excuse! I had the amazing opportunity to go to England and France with my French class at the end of May. The trip was a once in a lifetime experience and one of the best vacations I have ever been on.
When I got home the first thing I wanted to do was document it for the sake of my memory, so I could look back on this trip for years to come. I took well over 800 pictures and will be blogging every detail I can remember! So, sit back, relax, and enjoy my Europe travels!
I was gone for 12 full days starting May 28, arriving home on June 8.
On Monday, May 28 I woke up at about 6 am. I still had to finish packing and rushed around my house trying to fit everything in my suitcase. After I got ready and loaded everything into the car, with my passport in hand, my whole family headed to the airport. We live about an hour away from the airport we were flying out of, so I was anticipating the trip the whole way there.
Once we finally made it to the airport, we met up with the rest of the group I was going with. Like I said earlier, I was going with some kids from my school, who took French. Some moms also came, my mom included. We all met up, got our boarding passes and said good bye to our families before heading on to security.
Security was no problem. We breezed through quickly and went to our gate. Well, by this point it was about 9 o'clock. Guess what time our plane left? I'll give you a hint... 12:10! We had quite a while until we started boarding. No worries, though, we all got Starbucks and sat and talked about how excited we were.
This whole time we were waiting for the last two members of our group, a girl from my class and her mom, Alexa and Kristi. Alexa and I have been friends since grade school and her family is absolutely hilarious, and, well, always late. After a few minutes at the gate, Alexa and Kristi finally had arrived and met up with us. Alexa was excited to show us what she had brought... a selfie stick! No joke, it was such a great idea to bring, and we used it a lot on the trip!
While waiting we busted out the selfie stick and took some pictures.
The wait was pretty long and boring. While we weren't spending our time taking pictures on the selfie stick, we all joined in and played this game called Guess the Character! I had downloaded it on my iPad before the trip and it turned out to be really fun! Even though the characters at the beginning are easy, when you start getting a lot right the characters are pretty challenging to guess!
We stopped playing for a few seconds to take a group picture of everyone on the trip. We took it on- you guessed it- the selfie stick!
All together there were 8 students, 4 moms, and my teacher and her friend in our group. 14 in total!
Finally it came time to board our plane. Our first flight was from Cincinnati to Chicago. The flight itself was only 45 minutes long. We waited at the gate longer than the first flight was going to be.
Me, Elise, and Madeline waiting to board the plane!
We made it to Chicago around noon, their time (Which is an hour behind Cincinnati). And our flight to London didn't leave until 4 later that night. So, we had some time to kill in the airport. We were all hungry so went went to lunch near our gate. We had a great time together at lunch and we were all ready to be out of the country, but not before we left our waiter a note because of how good looking he was..... ;)))
Finally after recharging our phones and playing more Guess the Character in Chicago we were on the plane! We sat on the plane a little longer before take off because the captain said they had to wait to receive some book before departure, however, we made it to London only a few minutes later than planned, so it all worked out!
This was my first time ever flying over water, and I was a little nervous. I have never been a huge fan of flying, in general, so this was crazy for me. On the plane they show you the path your airplane was taking and I thought it was cool! I took a picture, of course!
The flight was just under 7 hours long. I got to sit next to my mom, which was great! I watched 3 different movies, listened to music, etc. The one thing I didn't do was sleep! I wish I would've slept on the airplane because I was going to need it the next day!
Finally, the captain announced that we had landed at London Heathrow Airport! It was 6 am in London and we were starting our day right away! And boy did we have a busy day in front of us....
cheers,
Sarah
